Text to text: Oliver twist.The main characters in oliver twist and the outsiders are very simmilar in alot of ways. Firstly in both books both oliver and ponyboy are in a neighborhood full of poverty and crime. Secondly both oliver and ponyboy get bullied/ hurt in the stories. Text to world: The seeting in the outsiders is very simmilar to the city of harlem. In both places, each one is filled with poverty, a high crime rate and people who just have enough stuff to survie off of. Also in both cities alot of people get hurt or killed just like how ponyboy got beat up by the kids in the outsiders. These are some reasons on how the settings of the outsiders and the city of harlem
