There are many ways that the hunger games compare to the dystopian genre. Firstly the capitol is a amzing technological advancement compared to the cities of today. Next is that the hunger games does not have a good past that involves a rebillion and alot of death. 75 years before the hunger games was created, the 13 districts rebelled against the captiol. the capitol cruhed them and now there are only 1 districts left. Here are some ways the hunger games compares to the dystopian genre

Comparisons

There are many comparisons between the hunger games and Theseus and the minotaur. These include tradition and sacrifice to a higher power. For example, it is a tradition to the districts to sacrifice a male and female team to the capitols to fight in a gory bloodbath. In theseus and the minotaur, the athenians tradition is to sacrifice 14 kids and teens to Crete because they were beaten in war.  The other similarity is that they are sacrificing the kids and teens to a higher power. In the hunger games, the capitol beat the districts in the revolution and as a sign to remember these awful times the capitol created the hunger games. In theseus and the minotaur, the reason why the Athenians have to sacrifice the children to Crete is so that they do not get attacked again.

Contrast

There are some differences between the hunger games and theseus and the minotaur. One difference is the main characters motive.   In the hunger games, katnisses motive is to protect prim from entering in the hunger games while theseuses takes a more violent otive and wants to kill the minotaur

" This symbolizes that hope is plentiful and can get you through even the toughest challenges of life.

There are many comparisons between the  lottery and the hunger games. The most outstanding comparison between these two stories is that both of the two stories do sacrafices because of tradition. In the hunger games, they sacrafice a teen from each distrit to fight in the hunger games to portect their district from the capitol attaccking them.
